Heartstopper from creator Alice Oseman has received excellent reviews from critics and more importantly has amassed a devoted following. Watching Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) attempt to connect was one of the many arresting elements of the first season. The Heartstopper ensemble was also terrific, and going into season two I was also invested in the prospective relationship of Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) as well as Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell). The big question mark for this season is when will Nick (Kit Connor) feel comfortable enough to come out? Charlie (Joe Locke) vows to help Nick through his journey, but he also has his share of challenges with the bullying he receives at school. Though Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) are best friends, their bond leads to some hesitation in moving forward in their relationship. Both are hesitant to make that first move.
As for Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell), they have experienced different reactions regarding their coming out. Their relationship will be put to the test in season two.
