Miles Teller (Bleed for This, upcoming Only The Brave) stars in Thank You For Your Service as Adam Schumann, a returning soldier from Iraq who, along with his fellow colleagues, finds it difficult readjusting to civilian life. The piece is adapted from Pulitzer Prize winning author David Finkel’s book of the same name, and in the audio below Teller explains why “accuracy” and “authenticity” were integral to Thank You For Your Service.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!“I think those are my guys,” said Miles Teller on why he’s passionate about playing real life characters. “That’s just how I was raised. I don’t work on any social or economic hierarchy or anything. I was raised middle class and lived in as many different environments as you could get . . . those are the kind of stories i’m attracted to. I enjoy when I can bring those stories to life because those are the ones that are being lived every day and they’re relatable to me and I’m excited when Hollywood makes movies about the every man.”
