The intriguing aspect behind KT Tunstall’s musicianship lies in her ability to blend rock and melodic pop into one delicious pot of gumbo (sorry I’m currently in a New Orleans state of mind). And whether you love Tunstall’s biggest hits (“Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” “Suddenly I See”) or love her resonant, deeper cuts (try “Feel It All” for size), you’ll find another side of Tunstall with her single “Maybe It’s A Good Thing.”

Taken from her upcoming album KIN, “Maybe It’s A Good Thing” is downright catchy from the get-go, as a sneakered (and purple jacketed) Tunstall sings “I can’t what’s coming, and I don’t much care.” That seemingly ambivalent statement, however, is deceptive, as the track deals with approaching life head on, whether love or heartbreak is in the offing.

In support of KIN, which comes out September 9, Tunstall is hitting the road. The dates are below, and to order tickets please go to kttunstall.com/live.
