David Farrier’s ‘Mister Organ’ Is An Exasperating And Immersive Documentary

There is a big caveat regarding the “movie pick” title for Mister Organ. Both Bruce Purkey and I recommend David Farrier’s (Tickled) latest documentary. Eric Holmes, on the other hand, “hated it.” Learn a thing or two about Mister Organ and decide for yourself!

Mister Organ centers on David Farrier’s several year cat and mouse game with an infuriating and enigmatic con man named Michael Organ. Farrier, a journalist and filmmaker who previously received acclaim for his documentary Tickled, reluctantly goes down a rabbit hole with Organ.

The documentary attempts to shed light on what makes Organ tick. Most importantly, it spotlights the people whose lives have been negatively affected by Organ’s lies and manipluation.

Both Bruce Purkey and I absolutely recommend Mister Organ, as we found Farrier’s investigation into Organ to be compelling viewing. CinemAddicts co-host Eric Holmes thought the documentary was a complete waste of time. We loved it. He hated it. Currently, it has a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is a New York Times Critics pick.

By the way, the soundtrack is pretty awesome and will be added to my gym workout playlist!!
