The new sitcom Truth Be Told centers on best friends Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Russell (Tone Bell) and their respective wives Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) and Angie (Bresha Webb). The couples are next door neighbors who don’t hold back when it comes to discussing and debating over various subjects. Politics, race, sex, and relationships are all fair game for this foursome, as series creator DJ Nash wants to push the comedic envelope with the freshman show.
“The original title of our show is People Are Talking,” said Gosselaar, whose previous TV work includes Franklin & Bash and NYPD Blue. “(The show’s producers) want to have that water cooler effect where people the next day are saying, ‘I can’t believe they talked about that.'”
