The Bella Twins have, as the oft used cliche goes, taken the WWE world by storm, and their respective journeys are chronicled on the E! series Total Divas. The program returns January 19, and during a recent interview I asked them if they believe women, in many aspects, are stronger than men.

If you’ve followed the careers of the Bella Twins then you probably know that the sisters, though equally supportive, have absolutely different passions and personalities (in one E! video, Nikki humorously mentions Brie’s “farm to table” approach to eating).Their answers to the “are women stronger than men” question also yielded entirely different comments:

I do think, mentally, we are because we’re born to be mothers and we have to be mentally strong in different ways . . . this sounds silly but I used to be so scared to be home alone and now I have this puppy who couldn’t save me at all. But I’m not even scared because I think of this puppy and there are these natural instincts that have come out of me and I think (with) just being a woman you just naturally fight mentally in different ways.  – Nikki Bella

Women have come a long way because so many different careers women have – they’re dominated by men. So we always have to make sure that our voices are stronger and we stand stronger and we work a little harder . . . thank goodness to Total Divas we’re starting to dominate what people assume is a man’s world. – Brie Bella
