Cinematic nightmares are just around the corner, as the just released trailer for The Lodge displays a ton of potential if bone chilling thrillers are your cup of tea. Check out the trailer below!
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The Lodge centers on Aidan (Jaeden Martell) and Mia (Lia McHugh), siblings who spend time at the family winter cabin with their dad’s (Richard Armitage) girlfriend Grace (American Honey’s Riley Keough).
Family bonding is fine and dandy, but after the dad leaves the kids under Grace’s supervision thanks to a work matter, they are trapped in a cabin to fend for themselves. Spending quality time amidst Mother Nature should be a way to unwind, but as the trailer suggests, there are supernatural elements that put all three in harm’s way.
The feature co-stars Alicia Silverstone, and the visually enticing trailer thankfully doesn’t give us much information on what is really happening. Since Silverstone and Keough are essential lookalikes, are they part of the same family (or maybe the same person). Are there ghosts haunting these grounds and the cabin? Or maybe the children are actually the evil ones? The casting of Clueless vet Silverstone, who was excellent in Killing of a Sacred Deer, also feels likes an inspired casting choice.
The picture, which comes out this fall via NEON, is directed by Goodnight Mommy filmmakers Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!!
