Natalie Halcro Discusses “Hierarchy” Behind ‘WAGS’

The new E! series WAGS (short for Wives and Girlfriends of Sports Stars) gives viewers an inside look at this exclusive group of close friends and possible rivals. Although the show will have its share of outrageous moments and humor, WAGS member Natalie Halcro candidly elaborated on the hierarchal environment which surrounds this environment.

“We’re kind of belittled by our marital status or lack thereof,” says Halcro who is dating NFL linebacker Shaun Phillips and is starting a business venture with cousin and fellow WAGS member Olivia Pierson. “And as women, that’s not what it’s all about.”

Check out the video below as Halcro, who was interviewed with Pierson and Nicole Williams, explain why being a “wag” is just one small part of their respective makeup.

Halcro has a valid point when saying that being a WAG doesn’t define them (“we are women first”), and hopefully WAGS will mix in some astute observations amidst all the eye-popping situations that will undoubtedly occur during the show’s first season.
