It will be hard to find a more intriguing film, storywise at least, opening this weekend. Good Boy centers on a woman named Sigrid (Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen) who seemingly finds the man of her dreams in Christian (Gard Løkke). The catch is Christian has a man who acts like a dog in his domicile. Fredriksen, Løkke and filmmaker Viljar Bøe talked about the intricacies behind Good Boy.
Viljar Bøe’s initial idea for Good Boy came years ago, when the image of a man in a dog costume struck his creative fancy. The picture, which marks the feature debut of Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen, was met with acclaime last year during its Beyond Fest showing. Gard Løkke spent months working on his character Christian, and hopefuly it shows on screen.
Both CinemAddicts hosts Eric Holmes and Bruce Purkey recommend the movie. Check out their review on our latest episode:
Eric’s interview with Bøe, Løkke and Fredriksen runs for over 13 minutes. For more info on Good Boy, which hits theaters, Digital and on Demand September 8, check out the interview:
