Exclusive: ‘The Voice’ Songbird Lexi Dávila Breaks Through “Comfort Zone”

After her rendition of Selena’s hit song “Dreaming of You,” Lexi Davila had the hard choice of picking either Adam Levine or Blake Shelton as her coach. After choosing Levine and also advancing through the Battle Rounds, Davila is now primed for the Knockouts.

Admittedly an introspective performer, part of Lexi Dávila’s gradual artistic growth comes from collaborating with The Voice coach Adam Levine, a multi-skilled performer who has challenged the singer to reach new heights.

“Stepping out of my comfort zone and trying out for The Voice was really an accomplishment for me just because I’ve always been so shy on stage,” says the 17-year-old from Lorain, Ohio. “Adam has taught me so much about (being confident).

During our conversation, Lexi Dávila was refreshingly enthusiastic about the friends she’s met on “The Voice” and her overall experience on the show. Some interviews just seem go smoothly, and Davila’s open-minded and hard working approach to her craft is definitely commendable.
