On March 31, Steven Spielberg welcomed movie buffs around the world to join the AFI Movie Club, a virtual gathering which will spotlight a movie a day wth material from the AFI Archive to enhance their viewing experience. The first selection, introduced by Spielberg, was The Wizard of Oz.

Obviously the themes of wanting to return home is familiar to the director of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, so he was the perfect choice to introduce The Wizard of Oz.
Along with watching the movie during that given day, AFI will provide movie lovers videos from their archive to deepen their experience. Interviews with Judy Garland’s daughters Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft were presented yesterday:
