In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. Studio, the classic supernatural feature The Exorcist hits 4K Ultra HD Disc and Digital on September 19. Such digital retailers as Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play and Vudu will be carrying it on Digital.

The Ultra HD Blu-ray discs contain the 1973 theatrical version and the 2000 Extended Director’s Cut which includes eleven additional minutes that were not seen in theaters.

The Exorcist, directed by William Friedkin, won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay (William Peter Blatty from his own novel) and for Best Sound. In total, it received 10 Oscar nods.

There are no new special features for this release, but this is the first time the movie will be available in 4K Resolution with High Dynamic Range (HDR). Previously released audio commentary from Friedkin and the late William Peter Blatty, along with a plethora of special features from previous The Exorcist releases, will be included in the extras.
