Scott Weintrob Talks Filmmaking Journey Of Olga Kurylenko Headlined ‘Paradox Effect’

CinemAddicts co-host Eric Holmes and I love Olga Kurylenko (“To The Wonder,” “Boudica: Queen of War”), and he recently saw (and appreciated) the action thriller “Paradox Effect.” Co-starring Harvey Keitel, the is now available on digital. Director Scott Weintrob reflected on the creative challenges of making “Paradox Effect.”

“Paradox Effect” centers on Karina (Olga Kurylenko), a former drug addict who witnesses a murder and is forced to cooperate with the killer (Olivler Trevena). If she fails, her daughter will be murdered. Harvey Keitel co-stars inthe feature.

Director Scott Weintrob shot the movie in 18 days. With a $2 million budget, Weintrob did not have a ton of funds at his disposal. Weintrob reflects on how shooting music videos and car commercials helped him navigate through Paradox Effect’s challenges.

Weintrob also talked about working with Kim Basinger on a short called “Danger.” Closing out the interview, he cites “La Haine” (aka “Hate”) as one of his favorite movies.
