It was a big news week for American Idol, as Fox announced that next season will be AI’s last. Although the landmark show has nurtured its share of successful artists, saying goodbye to American Idol isn’t going to be easy for Keith Urban.

“It’s bittersweet, but ultimately I think ultimately it’s going to be a huge celebration of not only the history of (American) Idol but also on the impact it’s made on American pop culture, on pop music, and on artists that are happening today.”
On a brighter note, Urban has scored another #1 single off his album Fuse with “Raise ‘Em Up,” an Eric Church duet which is also Urban’s 18th career #1 single.
