With over $500 million accrued at the box office, DreamWorks Animation’s How To Train Your Dragon 2 will continue to do robust business when it comes out on Blu-ray and DVD November 11 (it hits Digital HD on October 21).
Fans who purchase the Blu-ray combo pack, DVD double pack, and Digital HD will also be treated to the animated feature Dragons: Dawn of the Dragon Racers, which has Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) and his buddies attempting to be the first Dragon Racing Champion of Berk.
Special features for the Blu-ray & Digital HD versions include:
- Fishleg’s Dragon Stats – A guide on the various dragons that inhabit Berk.
- Drago’s War Machines – Narrated by Gobber the Belch (Craig Ferguson), the featurette looks at the weapons and creatures that do Drago’s (Djimon Hounsou) evil bidding.
- Berk’s Dragon World – More information on the dragons, plus the changes that were made to the island to help the humans and dragons peacefully coexist.
- Hiccup’s Inventions in Flight – A look at how Hiccup and Toothless work in tandem to form Berk’s most popular (and effective) flying duo.
- Deleted Scenes
- Filmmakers Commentary – Featuring writer-director Dean DeBlois, production designer Pierre-Olivier Vincent, character animation head Simon Otto, and producer Bonnie Arnold.
