Singer/songwriter Gino Vannelli will release “The Life I Got (To My Most Beloved),” his 22nd album, on February 7, 2025 via BFD/The Orchard. The album’s first single is a rearranged version of “Keep On Walking,” a track featured on his third album “Storm at Sunup.”
Track listing for “The Life I Got (To My Most Beloved)” is as follows: “I Have Dreamed of Days Like This,” “Stormy River,” “No Where to Go But Up,” “The Life I Got,” “Come to Jesus Moment,” “A Little Bit Broken,” “It’s All Good Mama,” “The Hero You See in Me,” “Good Neighbors,” “Across the Dark Night,” and “Keep On Walking.”
The rearranged version of “Keep On Walking” has a jazzier feel. “Being a fan of Miles Davis and Gil Evans,” said Vannell. “I thought this horn arrangement would suit the new version perfectly.”
The album was created while Vannelli’s wife battled cancer and passed earlier this year. “It’s an account of all the joys and suffering,” said Vannelli. “She passed away when the record was completed. I remain in aw of Patricia’s courage. I miss her so. My love is eternal.”
“The Life I Got (To My Most Beloved)” comes out on February 7, 2025 and Vannelli will tour in support of the album.
Fifty years in the music business has yielded Vannelli 20 million albums sold worldwide and the hits “I Just Wanna Stop,” “Living Inside Myself,” and “Wild Horses.”
