G. Love & Special Sauce (30th Anniversary Expanded Edition)hits stereaming, download, and digital music partners starting Friday, January 12. “Cold Beverage – Live at the Knitting Factory, NYC, NY – 7/20/1994,” a previously unreleased live version from the album’s standout track, is remastered and is currently available!
The self titled debut earned a Gold record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), as it was buoyed by the breakout single “Cold Beverage” and its follow-up “Baby’s Got Sauce.”
G. Love & Special Sauce was formed by Philadelphia native Garrett “G. Love” Dutton (vocals/guitar/harmonica), Jeffrey “The Houseman” Clemens (drums) and James “Jimi Jazz” Prescott (bass).
The remastered version of G. Love & Special Sauce includes 11 previously unreleased tracks that were recorded live at New York’s Factory. Among those tracks are the aforementioned “Cold Beverage – Live at the Knitting Factory, NYC, NY – 7/20/1994.”
In support of the remastered album, the outift kicks off a 41-date tour of NOrth America starting January 11 (St. Louis, MO – Duck Room at Blueberry Hill). The tour runs through March and for further details go here.
