Kota Wade brought the house down with her soulful and energetic performance of Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home To Me” on The Voice. Wade chose Gwen Stefani after her successful audition, and though she also made it through the Battle Rounds, she was one of the unfortunate artists to be montaged! Thus, getting Wade on the phone to talk about collaborating with Alex Kandel on the No Doubt track “It’s My Life” was a must.

Along with her current run on The Voice, Wade provides original content for her successful YouTube Channel (her melodic mashup of “Let It Go” and “Let It Be” is pretty sublime) and also fronts the band Bad Wolf.

During our chat, Wade candidly broke down her Battle Rounds experience, working with Gwen Stefani, and why her work ethic (even if it leads to a few sleepless nights) is an important part of her creative process. She also talks about her continuing bond with Bad Wolf. Check out the interview below!!
