Although that proclamation is ambitious, Taylor is coming from a self-assured and inevitably humble place. He wants his music to live on, and with a bit of help from coach Christina Aguilera and other mentors on The Voice, Taylor adds that he’s learned quite a bit from the experience.

After advancing past the Battle Rounds, Taylor is now set for The Voice Knockouts. During our interview, the singer talked about representing his Donaldsonville, Louisiana hometown, finding joy in his music, and learning how to expand his music horizons through The Voice.
