Eric McCormack sat down during last week’s NBC Press Tour to talk about Will & Grace. A couple of takeaways: don’t expect a ton of guests during the new season and the actor is glad to be back with his previous collaborators. Two videos of McCormack are available after the jump:

Eric McCormack on the amount of guest stars that will be featured on Will & Grace:

“It got a little nuts,” said McCormack who also stars in the Netflix series Travelers. “It got to the point where we would have three guest stars per episode. It was just like, ‘Wait a minute, how many do we need?’ I said to Max we can get there again if we last long enough. What I hope this season is that we just focus on the core and (make) it funny and real. Sometimes those big names take you out of it. But we built to that and by the time we had Elton John and Madonna and Britney Spears and Barry Manilow, the show had become a different thing and I think we could support it. Right now, I want to protect it.”

Here’s the vid version of McCormack’s answer:

As for returning to Will & Grace after all these years, McCormack adds that “It feels like home right now.” His full answer is below:

Co-starring Sean Hayes, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and produced by Max Mutchnick, Will & Grace returns September 28 on NBC.
